Laramie, WY – Some state officials are hoping to re-engage people on the benefits of restoring and preserving historic buildings in the state. These are buildings over 50 years of age with a historic significance. Many of these buildings are heading for the wrecking ball.
Evan Medley of the Wyoming Main Street program says losing these buildings would be bad for the state. That is why they are trying to find ways to restore these buildings.
In an effort to emphasize how buildings can be preserved, the state will host the first Preserve Wyoming conference, May 14th in Cheyenne.
