Former Wyoming Coach May Take Over The Cowboys

Laramie, Wy –
A CBS website is reporting that Fresno State associate coach Heath Schroyer has agreed to become the new head
basketball coach at Wyoming. C-B-S SportsLine-dot-com broke the story early Thursday. Schroyer was an assitant to Steve McClain when the Cowboys last advanced to the NCAA tournament.
However, U-W officials are declining to comment.
Wyoming fired Steve McClain on March 12. U-W athletics director Tom Burman hired Schroyer five years ago
as head coach at Portland State when Burman was athletics director
there. Schroyer left Portland State two seasons ago to take his
current job at Fresno.
