Laramie, WY – Wyoming Governor Dave Freudenthal says the latest standardized testing results show that money is not the only ingredient necessary for success.
The results were not quite what administrators had hoped for, despite increased funding for schools in the last few years.
Governor Dave Freudenthal says he has seen a lack of writing skills in Wyomingites who apply for jobs in his office: "I will tell you that I'm amazed -- now I'm starting to sound like my dad, but -- I'm amazed that this generation has not been schooled in the art of written expression."
The governor says state leaders should think carefully about how the state uses money to improve education.
