Laramie, Wyo. – After last week's court injunction, ranchers can still legally kill a gray wolf if the animal is actively attacking livestock.
But the Wyoming Game and Fish Department's Eric Keszler says that is now the only circumstance in which wolves may be destroyed.
Keszler says landowners should contact the game and fish department or the U-S Fish and Wildlife Service if they are having problems with wolves.
The department had been finalizing plans for a fall hunting season for wolves. That has now been put on hold.
"This has changed everything," Keszler says.
