Laramie, WY – Wyoming state park officials say they expect water will continue to rise at Glendo State Park, reducing the number of campsites available for the July 4th weekend.
Officials say about 85 percent of the campgrounds at Glendo are already affected by flooding. Some campground drinking water systems have been turned off.
The officials say they hope to have up to 200 designated campsites available, which is about half of the number typically available. Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Glendo is a popular destination for Fourth of July campers. Officials say it's likely the park will be at capacity early next week. They say visitors should call before making travel plans.
