Cheyenne, WY – Governor Dave Freudenthal has appointed seven members to a task force charged with addressing possible uses of water
produced from coal-bed methane extraction. The seven appointees will join four legislators and four other state agency representatives on the 15-member panel. Freudenthal says the group of appointees reflects a cross-section of those interested in C-B-M and the development of the industry in Wyoming. He says there's substantial representation from the agricultural community, which he says should make sure that the state maintains balance as it moves forward. The group's first meeting will be held next month in Casper.
