Governor Talks Energy In Rome

Rome, Italy – Governor Dave Freudenthal says he was impressed with what he saw and heard during the World Energy Congress and Exhibition in Rome. Freudenthal says he heard that energy consumption will likely double in the not too distant future and that Wyoming could be a player in providing the minerals for Nuclear Energy around the world. But the Governor does not believe Wyoming will be a big player in the global energy marketplace...but he thinks that U-S markets will open up as eastern coal goes global. Freudenthal says it is clear that for Wyoming coal to have much of an impact on the marketplace, will depend on a greater effort to develop clean coal technology.
