Cheyenne, WY – Cheyenne-based Great Lakes Airlines gained some financial ground between June and September, but reports that it is still struggling. The airline says in its third quarter report to the Securities and Exchange Commission that declining demand for air travel continues. The company tallied a profit of $4.5 Million for the quarter. That's a 207% increase compared to the third quarter a year ago. AT the same time, Great Lakes is behind in its restructured lease and debt refinancing payments due to poor business conditions. The company says it is in ongoing negotiations with its creditors.
