Guard Wants Life Insurance Help

Laramie, Wy – A legislative committee has endorsed a proposal to reimburse members of the Wyoming National Guard for their life insurance. Currently guard members pick up the nearly 25 dollars a month, but Adjutant General Ed Wright says it will both help recruiting and show support for the Guard if the state pays that. Wright notes that times have changed for Guard members and more of them could find themselves in harms way.
State officials estimate that it would cost close to a million dollars a year. The bill will have to be approved by the full legislature when it meets in February.
