Helicopter Rescue in Teton Park for Michigan Man
Laramie, WY – A Michigan man was evacuated from Grand Teton National Park by helicopter yesterday (Wednesday) after he stumbled and fell while on a guided climb of Exum Ridge.
Fifty-year-old Kevin Klimek of Detroit was taken to Saint John's Medical Center for treatment for cuts on his face, bruising on his hand and a knee injury.
Park officials said Klimek was participating in a guided climb Wednesday morning when he fell several feet.
The party descended the ridge to the Lower Saddle, where they met a park ranger who evaluated Klimek's injuries, spoke with a doctor at St. John's and called in the helicopter.
