Rawlins, Wyoming – A long time proponent of a dam project in Carbon County will finally have his day. Savery rancher Pat O'toole was among the strongest backers of what was once called the Sandstone Dam project. After several fits and starts, the project got approved as the High Savery Project and will be dedicated at a ceremony Tuesday. O'Toole says it will be good for recreation, but area residents will see the greatest benefit. O'Toole's only regret is that it was not located where he had hoped. But he does believe that the project could lead to other water storage projects in the state. Wyoming officials reviewed such a possibility over the past few days.
