Cheyenne, Wyo. – The House passed a bill allowing counties to regulate the splitting of land parcels larger than 35 acres today.
The Senate must concur with House amendments before it goes to the governor's desk.
Governor Dave Freudenthal supported the bill in his state of the state address and is expected to sign off on it.
Wyoming law currently allows counties to regulate subdivisions smaller than 35 acres.
Under the bill, counties would be able to mandate that developers apply for permits and submit plans before dividing land parcels larger than 35 acres.
