Investigation underway after plane skids off runway
Laramie, WY – Authorities are investigating why a Skywest Airlines flight slid off the taxiway earlier this week at Yellowstone Regional Airport in Cody.
Mike Fergus of the Federal Aviation Administration says no one was hurt and the plane was not damaged in the incident Tuesday morning.
Fergus says Skywest Flight 6530 was en route to the runway for takeoff to Denver when it slid off the taxiway at 7:22 a.m and went into a snowbank.
Yellowstone Regional Airport Manager Bob Hooper tells the Powell Tribune that the plane was inspected and took off about 1 p.m.
