Laramie, WY – The Jackson Hole area has received more than 3 feet of snow in some places over the last few days, prompting early caution about avalanche danger.
Forecasters said the avalanche danger Wednesday was considerable, meaning natural avalanches are possible.
An avalanche on Tuesday blocked Wyoming 22 between Wilson and Victor, Idaho. The road was open Wednesday after crews cleared the snow.
The Jackson Hole News & Guide reported that the winter storm forced cancellation of six flights Tuesday at Jackson Hole Airport.
