Jackson Hospital to Build Employee Housing

Jackson, WY – Saint John's Medical Center in Jackson has
purchased two parcels of land for construction of employee housing. The hospital says it needs to help its employees find affordable housing because of Jackson's skyrocketing real estate market. The hospital is working with the county planning commission to try to determine how much can be built on the lots. They are currently zoned for one house on each lot. Virgil Boss is assistant administrator of support services at the hospital. He says that homes the hospital builds on the land
will be reserved for hospital employees. David Viehman is owner of Jackson Hole Real Estate and Appraisal. He says that the free-market housing has risen so high
that locals can't afford Jackson Hole anymore. Viehman says that the median home sale price as of July first was almost 1-point-2 (m) million dollars.
