Jackson Lake Dam to increase flow
JACKSON, Wyo. – Mangers of the Jackson Lake Dam are increasing flows early this spring. The move is prompted by the wear Snake River dikes took last year and by the considerable snowpack in the mountains around Jackson Hole.
Bureau of Reclamation managers are increasing releases from the dam now to draw down the Jackson Lake reservoir.
The drawdown is supposed to create room for better flood control during the snowmelt.
