Jackson, Wy –
On her 25th anniversary working for the police force, Peggy Parker decided to retire and as she puts it "to chase other dreams". Parker was a historic Chief of Police. When she was appointed to the position in 2001, she became Wyoming's first woman to hold that post. Parker spent most of her career as an investigator and was honored as the states top law enforcement official and won numerous local honors as well. Jackson Mayor Mark Barron says he respects Parker's connection to the community and her passionate service to the police profession. Chief Parker says she plans to remain in the valley and says she will stay active. Her last day will be in July.
