Laramie, Wy – Wyoming health sciences dean Robert Kelley says he'll be the next University of North Dakota president.
A spokeswoman for Chancellor Bill Goetz says Kelley notified his office this morning that he'll accept the job.
The 63-year-old Kelley will succeed Charles Kupchella, who's retiring later this year. Kelley was offered a a three-year contract worth $300,000 a year. State Board of Higher Education President John Q. Paulsen says he knew right away that Kelley was the right man for the job. Paulsen calls Kelley a 'fair and decent' man.
