Ladd Says He Dislikes No Child Left Behind

Laramie, Wy – A DEMOCRAT HOPING TO BECOME WYOMING'S NEXT CONGRESSMAN SAYS HE OPPOSES THE FEDERAL INTERVENTION BROUGHT ABOUT BY THE FEDERAL NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND LAW. TED LADD ADMITS HE LIKES THAT NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND HAS ONCE AGAIN PLACED EDUCATION ON THE NATIONAL STAGE. BUT LADD IS CONCERNED ABOUT THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE LAW.
AS FOR THE CONTROVERSIAL ASSESSMENT PORTION OF THE LAW, LADD SAYS HE DOES NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT. HE SAYS HE HAS YET TO MEET A TEACHER WHO DOES NOT LIKE MORE ACCOUNTABILITY. LADD BELIEVES THEY LIKE RESULTS ON HOW THEY ARE DOING. BUT HE ADDS THAT REQUIRING IMPROVEMENT EVERY YEAR IS IMPOSSIBLE.
