Lander-based Website Nominated for Award

Lander, WY – The website promoting Yellowstone National Park has been nominated for a Webby Award. The Webbys have been referred to as the Online Oscars, and yellowstonepark.com is one of five nominees in the Tourism category. The website bills itself as a total trip planning resource for Yellowstone vacations. It's operated by the Yellowstone Journal Corporation, and owner Shelli Johnson says they are honored and excited to be named with the likes of Google, Yahoo, and Orbitz. Yellowstonepark.com is competing against websites promoting travel to Italy, Puerto Rice, New Zealand, and Maine. Johnson thinks Greater Yellowstone tourism benefits from their nomination. She says when anything promoting Yellowstone gets attention, it helps the entire region.
