Lander, WY – A Lander woman unsuccessfully prosecuted on a charge of exposing her unborn child to methamphetamine is again in trouble with the law. Michele Foust was arrested earlier this month on new charges of exposing her 16-month-old child to meth. The charges follow an undercover investigation by the state Division of Criminal Investigation and the Lander Police Department. Foust is charged with endangering a child by allowing him to remain in a room where a controlled substance was located and sold. She also faces charges of delivering a controlled substance and conspiring to deliver a controlled substance. Last year, Foust was the first in Wyoming charged under a new law that made it illegal to permit a child to ingest methamphetamine. A judge dismissed the case because he said the law did not clearly apply to an unborn fetus.
