Laramie, WY – Some large construction projects have contributed to Laramie's economy and some have feared that as those projects wrap up that the community might see an economic setback. Laramie city manager Janine Jordan says she had the same fear, until she spoke with her staff. Even though some projects are wrapping up Jordan says other projects are on the way, "You are correct that building is scaling down, but we do have some larger projects that we foresee in the next 12 months in the community that are going through the review process right now. I was actually a bit encouraged. You know we are not going to have a wild building boom or a huge economic boom, but we are hoping that it will be enough to keep us relatively stable."
Jordan says the projects have provided a boost in terms of jobs and sales tax income for the city.
