Laramie, Wy – Just over one year after firing its last city manager the Laramie city council voted to terminate the contract of Bonnie Ridley-Kraft. She served as city manager for about eight months.
After the vote mayor Fred Homer said the council did not have any confidence in Ridley-Kraft, who resigned from her last job. Still Homer says nothing stood out in her record when they reviewed her credentials that would have been a warning. He says the city manager profession is a tough one because few people serve for very long and you have nine bosses.
Homer says all but one of the people they interviewed for the position had been terminated from their last job.
He says they are giving Ridley-Kraft a six month severance package that is worth 50 thousand dollars.
