Laramie, WY – State lawmakers remain uncertain about the
cost of a substance abuse treatment bill and have held off on a vote to endorse it.
The bill would provide more treatment options at the Wyoming State Hospital and elsewhere. State Senator John Schiffer says the bill would cost around 30 million dollars. But members of the Select Committee on Mental Health and
Substance Abuse weren't comfortable with the bill's costs after working on the legislation yesterday. They decided to wait for legislative staff to come up with an estimate before voting on whether to endorse the bill.
