Legislators Argue Over How to Fight Drugs

Cheyenne, WY – Communities may get more than 2 million dollars to fight drugs in Wyoming. It is part of a bill being considered by the Wyoming House of Representatives. Thermopolis Representative Lorraine Quarberg says the money will help local law enforcement agencies keep pressure on dealers. But Sheridan Representative Jack Landon says it is the wrong approach. But Quarberg notes that the state is spending large sums of money on treating substance abuse. He argues they should fight the selling of drugs. The bill will be considered two more times by the house.
