Wyoming – This week the wind blew and blew and blew. It rattled windowpanes and whipped through trees and woke people from solid sleep. Store clerks took on chipper goodbyes. "Don't blow away out there!" they said.
Near Cheyenne, the wind gusted over 70 miles per hour. In Casper, the door of a Starbucks blew off. Around the state, more than a dozen semi-trucks and RVs blew over. It's a constant part of life on the northern plains, but Wyoming has it worst. Molly Messick takes a look at the Wyoming wind.
