Low income people won't get help with health care

Cheyenne – The Wyoming House of Representatives defeated a proposed health care reform project today. It would have helped 500 low income people get insurance and health care. The innovative approach was endorsed by the Governor. Powell Republican Dave Bonner says it would have reduced the amount of health care dollars the state already spends on low income populations.
Representative Elaine Harvey says poor people are not responsible with money and the plan would just backfire. Others saw an opportunity for fraud. The bill failed on a 28-29 vote.
