Cheyenne, WY – The Speaker of the house wants improved highways in the state to look better as well. During debate on the bill to pay for widening some roads, Speaker Randall Luthi advocated using that money to improve the look of some highways. While agreeing that aesthetic improvements are needed, Jackson Democrat Pete Jorgensen was concerned that lawmakers were mandating how the Department of Transportation should spend its money. The House approved Luthi's amendment which would direct some state highway money towards beautification. The House will debate the Multi-Lane highway bill for a final time on Tuesday.
