Man charged in '06 death of hitchhiker in Wyo.
Rock Springs, Wyo. – Authorities in Rock Springs have filed a murder charge against a man in connection with the 2006 death of a Colorado man who disappeared while hitchhiking across Wyoming.
Sweetwater County Attorney Brett Johnson says 41-year-old Eric John Conn was arrested March 18 in St. Louis.
Conn is charged with first-degree murder and other crimes in the death of 29-year-old Ben Bradley, of Tabernash, Colo. A Rock Springs judge on Tuesday set bail for Conn at $2 million.
Bradley had been traveling across Wyoming to visit friends in Jackson in June 2006. He last contacted friends from near Rock Springs. His body was found about four months later north of the city.
Authorities say Conn was living in Rock Springs when Bradley disappeared.
