Laramie, WY – Monday night target shooters found 36-year old David Munis' Dodge Dakota pickup truck. It was stranded on a steep incline in a rugged area called Rogers Canyon, north of Laramie. About 50 law enforcement officers, four k-9 teams and at least two Blackhawk helicopters are searching for Munis, who graduated from Army Sniper School at Fort Benning Georgia in 2001.
Police found an empty handgun case in the truck, leading them to believe Munis is armed. Police say he's an avid outdoorsman, and that could help him in this rugged terrain where caves and hiding spaces are plentiful.
Police suspect Munis shot his wife through the glass door of a Cheyenne restaurant on Saturday as she sang on stage with a country-rock band.
