Laramie, Wy – It appears the new prison in Torrington could be the latest victim of increasing construction costs. Wyoming Corrections Director Bob Lampert says the increasing cost for materials will likely require them to spend more then originally planned to build the new medium security facility. 18 months ago, Lampert says they got an estimate of about 76 million dollars. But things have changed. Now he expects the cost to be roughly five percent above that.
Lampert says they will have better estimated in December.
