Laramie, Wy – The Medicine Bow National Forest will see a reduction in dead trees. Forest Supervisor Mary Peterson says they will be cutting down a number of dead pine trees near trails and roads that could fall and become hazardous. But Peterson says she has been working with local conservation organizations in an effort to minimize impacts on the environment." We have lots of wildlife stipulations already. I did order to not cut trees along trails that are in recommended wilderness areas along the Medicine Bow National Forest.
Peterson says the project will take place over the next ten years.
