Mild Flu Season So Far
Cheyenne, WY – Wyoming has seen only about 150 cases of the flu so far this season.
That is mild compared to previous years, but state officials warn that the peak time for flu cases is just starting.
Reginald McClinton of the Wyoming Department of Health said the state had about 800 reported cases of influenza at this time last year, 300 the year before, and 670 in 2006.
However, McClinton says in the past two to three weeks, the health department has reported an increase in positive flu cases.
The peak of the flu season is typically the end of February to the beginning of March.
