Mopping Up Bridger-Teton Forest Fire
Laramie, WY – Firefighters are mopping up a wildfire that burned about 2,500 acres on the Bridger-Teton National Forest north of Pinedale.
The Salt Lick Fire started last Wednesday and is expected to be completely contained by tomorrow.
Resource managers are already preparing a rehabilitation plan for the burned area to help prevent soil erosion and protect native species.
The fire about 30 miles north of Pinedale is thought to be human-caused, but its origins remain under investigation.
