More Wildfires to Come in Northern Wyoming

Laramie, Wy – Fire officials in northern Wyoming predict that this summer's wildfire season will only get worse.
Fires have burned across tens of thousands of acres in northeast Wyoming already this year.
The chief of the Clearmont District Volunteer Fire Department in eastern Sheridan County says that if the next big fire threatens a populated area like Sheridan, the situation will be "four times as complex" as the huge fires so far.
The wildland fire coordinator for the Campbell County Fire Department agrees, saying the fires so far are "just a precursor" to the rest of the fire season.
