Museum Singers - Worland

Washakie Museum’s select women’s choir, The Museum Singers, was created for the purpose of providing local experienced musicians an opportunity to learn and perform advanced choral literature. The Museum Singers is directed by Washakie Museum Performing Arts Developer, Sherryl Ferguson. Since its founding in the fall of 2009, The Museum Singers has expanded to include 16 members and an accompanist representing Worland, Greybull, and Thermopolis, Wyoming. Gathering for rehearsal once a week, The Museum Singers enjoy spirited camaraderie as they tackle accompanied and a capella three- and four-part music. They have performed numerous vocal concerts including: a performance for a state meeting of the Wyoming Municipalities of Clerks and Treasurers, a performance of American Masterpiece Compositions for over 1,400 people at the Grand Opening of the new Washakie Museum, a sold-out Spring Luncheon concert at the Washakie Museum with professional guest artists, and a performance at the Washakie County Centennial Celebration with Senator Barrasso in attendance, among many other performances.
