Natrona, Converse Pilot Aging Resource Centers

Riverton, WY – The university of wyoming's disability institute has received a grant to pilot a project in Natrona and converse counties for a new service for the elderly and disabled. It's called the aging and disabilities resource center. And aging division head bev morrow says staff will sit down with any clients and walk them through options for almost any kind of help, from nursing care to home health services. Morrow says her division as well as the state Medicaid office are in talks with the university to help make the centers available statewide. She says that right now many resources exist for senior citizens, from senior centers to the division of aging, but finding what a senior needs or gathering an array of services can mean making many phone calls or visiting several offices.
