Cheyenne, Wy – College records on a student trip to Costa Rica are being kept secret by Laramie County Community College. The college says student privacy prevents it from releasing a report on the 2008 school-sponsored trip on which LCCC President
Darrel Hammon was a chaperone. The Wyoming Tribune Eagle requested
the report because it allegedly criticizes Hammon's actions on the
The newspaper asked for the report after it was mentioned in a
recent employee hearing. But school officials told the newspaper
that releasing it would violate student privacy laws.
The closure is under review by the newspaper's attorney.
