Cheyenne, WY – Gov. Dave Freudenthal says there's been no action yet by the White House on his
submission of three names - including his wife's - for an open federal judgeship in Wyoming.
President Barack Obama's nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court is getting all the attention so far. The Senate Judiciary Committee is set to start confirmation hearings for Sotomayor on Monday.
Freudenthal in May submitted three names to the White House for consideration as possible replacements for Judge Clarence Brimmer, who's on senior status.
In addition to his wife, Cheyenne lawyer Nancy Freudenthal, the governor named District Judge Norman E. Young of Lander and Rock Springs lawyer Ford T. Bussart.
