Cheyenne, WY – The Wyoming Department of Health has not found swine flu in any of the 30-plus samples of possible flu they've received from around the state.
State epidemiologist Tracy Murphy says it's probably only a matter of time before the virus spreads to Wyoming. But he says even then, it's important to maintain calm: "If we hear about a confirmed case in Wyoming or two, we still need to keep things in perspective, look at you know how severe of an infection does it cause, what's going on in other parts of the country where it's been longer, look at all the information and not just react to that by itself."
The Centers for Disease Control has confirmed swine flu cases in 19 states including two in Colorado. In Utah and Nebraska, state health officials have sent samples from "probable" cases to the CDC for confirmation.
