Northwest College is using new technology to help students who must miss a class, or what to watch a repeat. Called a Vodcast, the college will provide lectures by using video technology so students can watch a lecture either on the road or a later date. College Instructional Technology Co-ordinator Scott Horton says this will be very useful for students who need to review some notes. Horton says it will also benefit athletic teams and other groups that need to miss class. He says Northwest is the only community college offering such technology. Students will be able to watch the lecture on their I-pod or home computer.
