Officials say Wyoming's snowpack is good
Cheyenne, Wy – The final snowpack report of the season shows Wyoming in good shape for irrigation water this summer. The Natural Resources Conservation Service reports that every
major mountain range in Wyoming has above-average or near-average
snow moisture. The numbers are critical for Wyoming's farmers and ranchers
because mountain snows supply irrigation water throughout the
The upper Green River Basin, Powder River Basin, Snake River,
and Bighorn Basin all show increasing snowpack compared to average.
The Wind River, Upper North Platte, Little Snake River and Upper
Bear River drainages lost snowpack compared to normal.
