Officials Will Tour Cheyenne Fire

Cheyenne, Wy – A structural engineer will tour the
downtown Cheyenne buildings gutted by a fire.
Officials said that every building in the block on West
Lincolnway was damaged by the fire, which began Monday night in a
bake shop and spread to nearby businesses.
The fire burned for more than 14 hours before it was brought
under control yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.
Cheyenne historians say the blaze may have devastated a very
important part of the city's past.
The structures were included in an area known as the Commercial
Block, where famed gunslinger Tom Horn allegedly confessed to a
murder that led to his hanging in 1903.
