Yellowstone National Park, WY – The National Park Service says it will reduce the size of a cell phone tower in Yellowstone National Park. There've been complaints about the tower at Old Faithful, and critics want it removed entirely. Yellowstone spokeswoman Cheryl Matthews says next week crews will reduce the 100-foot tower to 80 feet. The park will also bathe the tower in an acid wash to reduce the glare and make the tower less visible. The move doesn't seem to be enough for Jeff Ruch of the group Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility. Ruch says the Park Service is proving itself incapable of protecting one of the most treasured views on the planet.
