Cheyenne, WY – It is still legal in Wyoming for passengers to have an open container of alcohol in a moving vehicle. A bill to outlaw this narrowly died Wednesday in the state legislature. The bill banning open containers of alcohol needed just one more vote in the House of Representatives to become law. But, for now it is dead. The sponsor of this bill, Senator Tony Ross, says this is the angriest he's ever been. Those voting against the bill say there are other laws on the book that focus on drunk driving and this bill would go too far. It is likely that next year the legislature will consider a similar proposal.
