Cheyenne, Wy – Overcrowding at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter has the director concerned. Because of a continued surge the kennels scheduled for one animal are sometimes filled with two or more. Director Sue Castaneda says the goal is to keep every homeless or unwanted animal until they are adopted. But overcrowding and lack of dollars is causing them to rethink that.
Castaneda is hoping adoptions pick up, which would solve the problem. She says because of sponsorships, many dogs are available for 35 dollars and cats ten dollars.
