Plane Crash Victim Remembered

Sheridan, WY – A memorial service was held today
in Sheridan for one of the three victims of a Civil Air Patrol
plane crash.
The memorial service for 53-year-old James Meyer, of Sheridan,
featured a helicopter and a fixed-wing aircraft flying over the
service in tribute.
Officers from the Wyoming National Guard also attended.
Funeral services and burial for Meyer will be held September
first in Maryland.
Meyer died Monday in a plane crash in the Big Horn Mountains
while flying as co-pilot on a search-and-rescue mission.
Two others were also killed in the crash. Their memorial
services are scheduled for Monday in Sheridan and Powell.
Investigators are still looking into the cause of the crash.
