Plans To Replace President Underway

Laramie, Wy – Plans to begin the search for a new
University of Wyoming president have already begun.
After eight years as president of U-W, Philip Dubois
is leaving June tenth to take a job as Chancellor of the University
of North Carolina at Charlotte.
U-W Board of Trustees President Judy Richards says the board
will have to sit down and figure out what it wants in a president.
Trustee Thomas Spicer says the university's solid financial
situation should make it easier to find a quality replacement.
Many state universities are strapped for cash as funding dries
up, but U-W has flourished financially.
Spicer says establishing a search committee, hiring a headhunter
consultant and vetting applicants could take three to six months.
