Power Outage West of Casper

Goose Egg, WY – About 350 people west of Casper lost power for several hours Friday morning. The power outage was spread over about a 10-12 square mile area, which includes Poison Spider Road and the Goose Egg area. Lieutenant Stewart
Anderson with the Natrona County Sheriff's Department says the outage forced the evacuation of the Poison Spider Elementary School because the temperature was about -10 at the time. Anderson says the Natrona County branch of the Red Cross set up a warming shelter at Casper College for
those without a source of heat. He says Pacific Power was able to get most of the power back on by about 2:30 pm.
