Cheyenne, WY – A company that recently bought 40 acres at
the only road to Hawk Springs State Park in southeast Wyoming has cut off access to the park.
The company is called Phase 23 and it's put up a gate on the road.
Attorney General Pat Crank says he's looking into the state's legal options.
The park contains Hawk Springs Reservoir, a popular fishing, boating and camping spot. More than 74-hundred vehicles have visited the park since May first.
Phase 23 bought the land from the Horse Creek Conservation District, which has been locked in a long-standing dispute with the state over the reservoir and its water.
